Leaving the Shore

Losing sight of the shore – easier said than done.

Doing something bold, big and important requires a move into uncharted territory.

As I write this from 30,000 feet in the air, I think of the aspects of our lives we take for granted that required the exact mentality Christopher Columbus had hundreds of years ago.

The plane, the phones, the laptop I am typing on – all created by pioneers who are celebrated today, but were viewed as insane in the early days of their journey.

They had to step outside the norm to transform.

Building a business, creating something new, changing the world – if you are serious about it –always requires that you move into uncharted territory.

Disruption to the customer journey in the past decade has been extreme, leaving marketing uncharted territory for most. I can confirm that the horse that got you where you are today isn’t the Tesla that will get you to the success you seek tomorrow.

The good news – you don’t have to go it alone.

Drop me a note and I will send you my presentation “Making Sense of the Modern Day Marketing Maze”. It’s a primer to how marketing works, no matter if you focus on B2B to B2C.

Embrace the waves, the land you left will never be as fertile as the land you seek.
